Why Didn’t Kamala Harris Prosecute Priests Over Sex Abuse? Church Lawyers Funded Her Campaign…

(PatriotHeadline.com)- Senator Kamala Harris is now the official vice-presidential pick for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. She’s the unlikeable former criminal prosecutor and district attorney for San Francisco who failed in the primary races and dropped out before the people of her own state event had a chance to vote for her.

Harris comes with a lot of baggage that could hurt Biden’s already uninspiring campaign, with the story of her not prosecuting priests for sexual abuse during her time as San Francisco’s district attorney being just one example of that.

According to Peter Schweizer, who wrote “Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite,” Kamala Harris was the only district attorney among 50 metropolitan cities not to charge clergy members for sexual abuse. Schweizer discussed the claims during a recent interview with Alex Marlow on Breitbart News Daily.

“The numbers are pretty stunning,” he said. “From 2004 to 2011, Kamala Harris was the San Francisco district attorney responsible for all prosecutions and the prosecution team in the San Francisco area. Between 2004 and 2011, she did not prosecute a single case of priests’ sexual abuse – period.”

The issue of sexual abuse from members of the clergy is an international one, and one that has been widely recognized as worthy of swift action to hold those responsible accountable. Prosecutors all over the world have sent people to prison for historic abuse, but Harris failed to do so.

“To put that in context of how stunning that is, if you look at the top 50 metropolitan areas in the United States at the time, all 50 prosecuted at least one case, the sole exception being Kamala Harris in San Francisco,” he added.

This was despite the fact that her predecessor already put forward plans to release files about abuse to the public, which would have named and shamed the priests accused of sexually abusing children. Harris suppressed the documents, according to Schweizer. During the interview, Schweizer also discussed the fact that Harris received several donations from law firms and lawyers representing the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

Could that be one of the reasons why Harris didn’t prosecute?

“Many of the law firms and lawyers who were representing the archdiocese on a variety of legal matters – including priests that had been identified as possible culprits – gave large contributions” to Harris’s campaign, he said.

Harris was brought in by the Biden campaign not just because she’s a black woman, but because she has a history as a criminal prosecutor and it could potentially help the Democrats distance themselves from the violent extremist activity taking place in the name of Antifa and Black Lives Matter across the country. But if Harris didn’t prosecute people, and if she didn’t do it potentially because she received donations from their lawyers, then you can bet that’s going to be a big issue in the campaign over the next few months.
