Senate Homeland Security Member Labels Biden “Counterintelligence Risk”

( As the press continues to reveal new evidence that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was aware of his son’s business dealings in China and Ukraine during his time as vice president, Senator James Lankford has labeled the presidential hopeful a possible counterintelligence risk.

Senator James Lankford, a Republican who represents Oklahoma and sits on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, this week called on the FBI to initiate a counterintelligence briefing that would determine the extent that Biden would pose a national security risk if he won the presidency in November.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee is currently investigating emails between Hunter Biden and his colleagues in Ukraine which seem to suggest that former Vice President Joe Biden was aware that his son was leveraging his access to the federal government for lucrative deals.

During an interview with Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News on Saturday night, Lankford was asked about the investigation and the national security implications of ties between the Bidens and foreign businesses.

“Given what we already know about the Biden family ties,” he said, “there might be a national security risk should someone like Joe Biden be in the White House.”

It’s hardly a vote of confidence in a man who wants to lead the country.

Lankford explained that he has requested that the FBI begin a counterintelligence briefing with Joe Biden, who may pose a risk to American national security given the possible leverage that foreign entities could have over the Biden family.

“This is information that should be handled the same way by the FBI to say this is a counterintelligence risk,” he said.

“It’s a leverage point that the Ukrainians and that the Russians and that the Chinese would have on a then-president Biden for how much information they really have,” he added. “And what we don’t know is what else is the information that they have?”

The news comes as social media giants attempt to stop people sharing stories about Hunter and Joe Biden, including the emails revealed last week by the New York Post.

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson explained the emails in detail, including the story of how Facebook and Twitter tried to throttle their reach.
