Sanders LIES At DNC, Claims Trump “Coddles” White Nationalists

( The Democratic National Convention’s first day of speeches started pretty much how you’d expect. It was a combination of cringe-worthy music videos and celebrity endorsements, along with several false claims made by high-ranking politicians. Former First Lady Michelle Obama claimed that President Trump is throwing children “Into cages” without acknowledging it was her husband that built those “cages,” and failed presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders even claimed the president supports white nationalists.

During a virtual speech, Sanders said that Trump has “coddled” white nationalists in his past, but all the evidence shows otherwise.

“And to heal the soul of our nation, Joe Biden will end the hate and division Trump has created,” Sanders said, before going on to create more division by lying about President Trump.

“He will stop the demonization of immigrants, the coddling of white nationalists, the racist dog-whistling, the religious bi9gotry and the ugly attacks on women,” he claimed.

Coddling white nationalists? Sanders didn’t offer an explanation of what he meant, or even a single example of Trump “coddling” white nationalists, but I suppose he knows he doesn’t need to at this point. It’s the same principle used by Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany…tell enough lies and eventually people believe them!

Breitbart put together a pretty comprehensive fact check on this claim and showed that the evidence overwhelmingly shows that President Trump does not support white nationalists.

“VERDICT: False. President Trump has explicitly condemned the ‘KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups,’ despite Joe Biden’s (D) and the Democrats’ insistence on repeating the thoroughly debunked ‘very fine people” hoax,’ Breitbart reported.

The “very fine people hoax,” in case you haven’t heard of it, is the lie that President Trump called white nationalist protestors at Charlottesville “very fine people.” The truth is that President Trump was referencing two sides of a protest about the removal of a confederate state, and explicitly condemned the white nationalists present during the exact same speech. In fact, it was in the very next sentence, but the Democrats don’t want you to know that.

Throughout the rest of Sanders’ speech, he talked about the pandemic, how Trump isn’t doing enough, how the world isn’t fair, and how the Republicans are to blame for all the division.

Yeah, because Republicans are the ones who told left-wing activists to loot stores and burn down cities, right…
