Biden Deletes Website Showing China’s Genocide

( President Joe Biden shocked the world last month when he told a CNN town hall event in Milwaukee that the issue of China’s genocide of the Uighur Muslims was simply a matter of “different cultural norms.” He drew widespread criticism for his comments among Democrats and Republicans alike – mostly Republicans, though.

Seemingly on a mission to cause yet more outrage, however, the new administration has now reportedly deleted an entire web page that was previously dedicated to detailing the crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party against the Uighur people.

The site, which is titled “The Chinese Communist Party’s Human Rights Abuses in Xinjiang,” previously contained five sections. They included:

– “What’s Happening in Xinjiang?”
– “Forced Population Control”
– “Violations of Religious Freedom”
– “Forced Labor”
– “Secretary Pompeo’s Statements”

An archived version of the old website, which can be accessed here, describes how the Chinese Communist Party is “waging a targeted campaign against Uyghur women, men, and children, and members of other Turkic Muslim minority groups in Xinjiang, China.”

The page also described how China was engaging in coercive population control methods, arbitrary detention of Uyghur people in concentration camps, and forced labor. It’s a shocking revelation but something that has been documented in the Xinjian region since 2014.

And if you thought this was exactly the kind of thing that the US government should be tackling, well, it seems like you’re in pretty stark disagreement with the President of the United States.

Since taking office, the State Department has removed the site entirely. Head to the original link and a message now reads “We apologize for the inconvenience.”

The page also says that they “recently archived many pages from” and that the pages are now available in an archive.

So, why would President Joe Biden want to make it more difficult for people to find information about the genocide of Uyghur Muslims?

That’s anybody’s guess. And a lot of people might guess that it has something to do with his family’s business ties to China.

The president’s son, Hunter Biden, was reportedly working to unwind his investment in a firm funded by the Bank of China back in February, but no progress has been announced since then. Hunter Biden promised to do the same during the 2020 presidential campaign but didn’t.
