( Instead of releasing illegal immigrant children from the so-called “cages” and “concentration camps” on the border, President Joe Biden has dramatically increased the number of children being held by border officials and has even opened more detention facilities.

It’s getting so bad that the president is even facing criticism from the media and his own party.

The Republican Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, also directed some serious criticism at the Biden administration for its total inability to control the crisis and stem the flow of illegals over the border.

“The Biden Administration continues to show that it is dangerously unprepared to handle the surge in illegal border crossings as they rush to open yet another facility for unaccompanied minors in Texas,” Abbott said.

It comes in response to the opening of an oil worker camp in Pecos, Texas, to accommodate the huge number of illegal immigrant children currently in U.S. Custody.

The Department of Health and Human Services issued a statement announcing that the Target Lodge Pecos North ICF will “initially accommodate 500 children in hard-sided structures with the potential to expand to 2000.”

“Additional semi-permanent (soft-sided) capacity may be added if necessary, though ORR will always prioritize placing children in hard-sided structures over semi-permanent structures. ORR is committed to holding ICFs to the same or higher standards as state-licensed facilities. The Target Lodge Pecos North ICF will be used when the site is ready to safely receive children,” the statement continued.

That sounds an awful lot like children being put in “camps.”

Has somebody told Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, yet? It sounds like it’s time for her to head down to the border for another photoshoot.

Governor Abbott also expressed his anger at the Biden administration’s refusal to answer questions about their handling of the border crisis, after new facilities were also opened in Carrizo Springs and Midland, Texas, to deal with the influx.

“As this humanitarian crisis grows along our southern border, the Biden Administration continues to dodge questions that Texans are demanding answers for: Is the federal government tracking what countries these children are coming from and what COVID-19 variants they might have been exposed to? How long will these children be held in Texas?” Abbott said.

Over the weekend, CBS News revealed that the number of children in U.S. custody topped 15,000, making this one of the worst border crises in American history.
